 The trip to Freia was historic. We had very many experiences and learned a lot. We made ​​our own milk chocolate. We have learned about cocoa beans. Of the seeds produced cocoa and chocolate. We have seen a lot of movies about chocolate. We have seen how they make the chocolate and many other things about the factory.

 

 

Johan Throne Holst.

He made Freia chocolate factory. Holst was basically no dream of producing chocolate. He envisioned a wholesaler of coffee and colonial goods, but above all he dreamed of becoming an industrialist.  In 1892 Johan Throne Holst bought up Freia factory in Verksgata 25 B Rodeløkka in Oslo. The company spoke seven employees.   Johan Throne Holst was born in Trondheim on February 7, 1868. He did make Freia chocolate fabric.

 

 

Quick Lunch is the product name for a chocolate biscuit launched by candy manufacturer Freia in 1937, and has been on sale since - except for a period during and after World War II between 1941 and 1949, production was stopped partly because of the lack of sugar and quality of flour. The chocolate consists of four oblong biscuit pieces surrounded by chocolate and the biscuit pieces are chocolate made thinner so that it is easier to share the chocolate. The chocolate is in the advertisement has been portrayed as “outdoor chocolate ", and many associate it with skiing, especially during the Easter holidays, where chocolate is often used as energizing provisions. Quick Lunch is currently manufactured by Kraft Foods and sold in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

 

 During one year eats every Norwegian averaged nine Quick Lunch chocolates. Three of these are eaten during Easter. There are annually produced about 50 million records, of which 4-500 tons are produced Easter. A small proportion of production sold at duty-free trade in Sweden and Denmark.

Hey Larissa here!

Wensday 24th we went to Freia, one of norwegians choclate factorys, and it was a amazing experience, but we got to much chocolate, so I havn`t eaten it since that day. On the factory we made our own choclate, and we went on diffrent "tours", we even travelled in time! Haha, not actually, we stept in a small gold colored room, and than just stood there untill the guide told us to step out. We also got told a story, about a king or something from year 1500 I think, he found the cocoa beans, and the beans became more valuable than money! Isn`t that weird? Now I have told about nearly everything from our tour, so let me tell you litle bit aboult Freia!

Freia`s History
 In 1904 started Freia to produce finer sort "eat chocolate" which previously only had been imported in the world outside. To produce such a chocolate, it was necessary to improve both equipment and production in Rodeløkka. Most significantly given a method that Freia in 1906 bought from Switzerland. This manufacturing method established by Dr. Armin Kaiser, namely resulted in our unique Freia milk chocolate.

 

 

  Freia Milk chokolade was the original name of what in the 1920s was said to be "Europe's best eat choclate". To emphasize that it was imported, added, one might assume that it was Norwegian. Only when the chocolate came back on the market after the war, was Freia Milk Chocolate spelled as we do today after the spelling reform of 1939

 
  The summer of 1949 started Freia production of Japp, and this was the first major chocolate news came on the market after World War II. Soft maltnougat and a thin layer of caramel coated with Freia Milk Chocolate was party food for sjokolademonser who had lived with rationing a decade. Japp was an instant success, particularly among youth.

Our upinion about the movie "Volver"

I think it presents the living situation for spanjaols, as øconomy problems for the main caracter Raimonda. It also shows us the relationships among the spanish people. For me, the ending became hard to understand, and it seems like the main-point was that her mother was`nt dead. But exept from the ending, I think it was intresting.

Meera and Elizabeth ----------

We think the movie was fine, but we wouldn't see the movie at our spare time. Elizabeth didn't see the beginnng of the movie, so it was hard to understand the concept. It was boring, but it shows us the relationship between the family and friends. And that was boring too, yeah you know what I mean. The movie was a little bit swag, but we can make a better movie, I am honest and promise you.

The movie volver was intressting. First it seemed like a fantasy movie, but ended like drama. The movie had a very stupid end, not understandable, unprofesstional and unacceptable.

It gave no sense that her mother faked his own death, whether she comes back and says that the protagonist's father had sex with her ??and she became pregnant. 
I (larisa) do not like Spanish movies, since almost no one is so good. I (aya) liked the beginning, but when the mother waked up from death it became kind of really creapy. I (rita) didn`t like the movie from the begining, it was a really boring movie.
it was boring that I almost fell asleep.
I would have given the film a dice 3

The movie was a little bit boring, because it was hard to keep up with the story. The drama in the movie was a little bit interesting, but also boring. I think the actors were good.

Volver by Pedro Almodovar 
Jeg enjoyed the movie. I specially like the action scenes, such as when Paco was killed and hided in the freezer. I also like the actors very much. They all acted very well. I think the end was alright. I could not think if it could end in another way.

The movie Volver seemed exciting because it was something about ghosts and some stuff. I didn?t see the whole movie so i don?t know how it started, but it was exciting that she rises up from the death.

I think that the film "Volver" is okey film, but it have to much drama parts. I do not like that kind of films. I like more action films and scary movies.

Dear friends,

At this time, in Spain the first we celebrate is Christmas’ eve, but before this we decorate the Christmas tree and the Nativity Scene. The 24^th of December we have dinner with the family in my granny’s house, after dinner we play bingo. It is a typical game here, finally children play the “Tió” we hit a piece of wood and it gives presents to the children. The 25^th we eat in my house with the family, we eat “turró” it looks like a chocolate bar.

The 31th we have dinner in my uncle’s house, we eat a lot of fish and after this we eat the grapes one grape with each bell stroke.

The last holiday of Christmas is the 6^th of January that eve come the three wise men (kings), and the morning we get a lot of presents under the tree. After giving the presents we eat with the family and we eat the “turtell”.

Before Christmas motamos the tree and the manger. Then assemble the “Cagatio”. At the “Cagatio” we hit with a stick to give us gifts. On the 6th, the “Reyes magos” come and we “traen” gifts

Hello, my name is Alba and this is my Christmas in Spain. Last Christmas were very nice, start the holidays 20 of December and started now 8^th.

In 24^th of December is the Christmas eve, “Noche Buena”. We went to the house of my granny and eat “turrons”. And we have a “caga tio” and it is a peace of a wood.

The 25^th I eat with my family and everyone cook one thing and eat differents types of food. Then the last day of yeah, 31, we celebrate New Year’s eve eating 1 grape with each bell stroke.

The New Year’s day I eat with my family and I play with my cousins.       

The night of 5^th of January “the three Wise Men” in Spain, “Reyes magos”.

Then the others days before started the school, we played with the present they give or.

Well, I wish that our Christmas are very nice. One hug of all.

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS IN SPAIN

School ends on December 21 and that is synonymous of Christmas time! On December 24'' noche buena'' is where the family gathers and mostly make dinner.

The next day is Christmas and children look in vain their gifts to the tree. December 31 is ''noche vieja'' and the family back together for dinner and eat the famous 12 grapes.

January 5 the three wise men visit all the districts on a ride and distributed sweets. And the next day again open the gifts that have left. In Catalonia there are another traditional celebration.

The ''caga tió'' There is a piece of tree. The kids hit him to give more gifts.

At Christmas Santa Claus  gave me a present ,

and we ate “turrones” it is a different sweet , similar in shape to a chocolate bar but is mainly made of almond and sugar. My present was a mobile phone and  some money.

At New year's eve all my family come to my house to celebrate the arrival of the new year and at twelve o’clock in the last twelve seconds  we eat one grape with each bell stroke and then we are in the new year .

The Three Wise men come  the 5th of January with a big parade and that night  they bring more presents.

Last Christmas was very nice.

The 24th of  December we celebrate the Tió. The Tió is a piece of wood and it gives some  small presents (candies, chocolates...). We hit it with a stick.

On the 25th December I celebrate the Christmas day in mi granny’s house.  I went to eat and to open the presents. We ate turrón (like a chocolate bar), fish, meat, prawns…

I celebrate the New Year’s Eve in a restaurant without more friends. In Spain, for each bell stroke we eat one grape. Then, we go to a discotheque to dance all night.

The 6 of January we’re celebrate the three wise men. Their names are: Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar. We get more presents too, and we’re go to have lunch with the family.

The 8th we go back  to  school. The Christmas is over.

Dear friends,

Last Christmas was very nice. First, we celebrated the Christmas’ Eve with my family and friends and ate a lot!! We hit the ‘Tió’ with a piece of wood and it gave us some presents. After that, we went to my granny’s house to lunch, we also ate a lot! Then, we celebrated ‘Sant Esteve’ with my granny, too. In 31st of December, at 23:59 there are the bell strokes and we eat 1 grape with this. During Christmas we eat ‘turrons’ and ‘polvorones’. The 6^th of January, we celebrate the ‘reyes magos’ (Three Wise Men) and they come at night and bring a lot of presents.

We end the Christmas holidays on the 8^th of January .

Dear friends.

The Christmas in Spain starts the 25th of December (Christmas) and ends the 6th of January (the three Wise men (kings). We decorate the house with a big tree and under the tree we put a little Nativity scene with the birth of the Jesus child. We play the “quinto” (is the same of bingo). We eat a lot of different candies. On the 6th of January we celebrate the three Wise men. In 6th of January they bring us a lot of presents. In spain we receive presents twice, and it isn’t so cold here.

On Christmas, we eat special food and make the " Tió." That’s a piece of wood we hit it, singing a song and it gives us presents (very small ones).

On the Three Wise Men day, people give lots of presents to children.

At Christmas I opened the gifts with my family. I was given: a lot of money,  gaming keyboard, gaming mouse, and one game of Steam.

Steam is a gaming platform that  sell digital games.

In New Year’s eve day eat 12 grapes with my family at 00:00 o’clock.

In 6^th of January come ‘’The three Wise Men’’. They are tree people  who bring  gifts. Its awesome!

The Nativity Scene

I celebrate Christmas with my family. The typical Christmas food are “turrons”, “polvorons” and  “tortell de reis”. In my house we make Nativity Scene and we put the Christmas tree. There is a tradition in Catalonia the “tió”, there is a typical little trunk, it has face and it brings presents. In 25th of December comes santa. The New year´s eve we eat twelve grapes and then we celebrate the New year. On the 5th of January at night the three wise men do a parade and the  6th of January the three wise men come and bring presents. Next to the three wise men we have one holiday and the next day we go to school.

I celebrate Christmas eve with my family . Of decorations we use a Christmas tree , It is very tall, and make the ''Nativity Scene'' .We also celebrate  Santa Claus who  brings presents . After that we celebrate New year's eve , we eat one grape with each bell stroke , after the eating of grapes  we eat the ''turrons'' made of chocolate or almond and ''polvorons'' . After being awake all night night and in the morning we eat  ''churros'' ( is a breakfast ). After we celebrate the Three wise men on the 5th and 6th of January. It consist of one ''parade'' where the three wise men throw sweets to everybody. The next day the three wise men bring us presents. The children spend the whole day playing with the toys. And here end the Christmas holidays.

At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
In my family we have dinner together at Christmas' eve and our parents (or ''Santa Claus'') give us presents.

We make a Nativity Scene and a Christmas tree.

In New Year's day we have dinner together once again and we have a special dinner.
In the three wise men's eve (king's day) we go to see the parades. The next morning our parents (or the Three wise men) give us presents. The next day we go to school another time.

Dear friends,

I spent my last Christmas  with my family.

This Christmas was the best not only for being with my family and the gifts or for the food either but my aunt came and stayed with us. We have eaten pasta shells which is a kind of soup, the next day we ate prawns.

One day I stayed at my cousin's where they had a traditional trunk here we call it  TIO.

The best was the day was when we ate the cake kings of kings, I ate three pieces to get  King and not the bean which are hidden inside the cake.

My Christmas was special because I spent  it with my family.

I don’t do any Christmas tree here I have a “tió”.

A “tió” is a piece of trunk. We have to hit the “tió” with a wooden stick.

“Tió” gives sweets or small toys to the children.

We go to a parade, in the parade the three Wise Men (the kings) throw sweets, to the people.

In Spain we  eat “turrons”  .

Turrons are made of almonds and they are  delicious!!

On New Year’s eve we eat grapes, we eat one grape with each bell stroke.

 On 31/12/2013 was my birthday. I celebrate my birthday with New Year’s and Christmas.

MY CHRISTMAS

This Christmas I celebrated with my family and we went to see the town council's Nativity scene.

In the morning we have lunch in a restaurant.

In the restaurant we ate chicken and then we went to my uncles house.

The Sant Esteve's day (26th) we went to my grandfather's house and ate cannelloni.

On 31 the December at 12:00 o'clock I'm ate twelve grapes, one with each bell stoke.

On the 5th of January I went to see a kings parade. (The Three wise men arrive in the city with a parade)

At the kings day, my family and I go to the house of my grandfather.

In the afternoon we go to the house of my cousin.

Later, we all go to play and have some fun together the whole family.

The next day older and working, but we are not going to school until the next day and we can enjoy the gifts of kings.

My family celebrate Christmas in family and with our friends. We put the christmas tree and, the Nativity scene; with the Three wise men (the kings), the child Jesus and her parents (Maria and Jose) and some sepherds with food and vegetables, and we put somo hauses and a river... And some day comes the "tio", the "tio" its a trounk with mouse, eye and nose. And the night od 24 of december we hit them with a stick and he give us presents. On 31th december night we eat 12 graphes, one for each chime, but before we eat in family hardly ever we eat pineaple stuffed with a salad of pasta inside. And at the 6 of January at the evening comes the thre wise men and put presents over our cristhmas tree.And later we go to the house af mi uncles and we eat in his houses and a river... And some day comes the "tio", the "tio" its a trunk with mouth, eyes and nose. On Christmas eve we hit them with a stick and he gives us presents. On 31th December night we eat 12 grapes, one for each bell stroke, but before we eat in family hardly ever we eat pineaple stuffed with a salad of pasta inside. And at the 6 of January at the evening comes the three wise men and put presents under our Christmas tree.And later we go to the house of my uncles and we eat in their house.
